SUMMARY:Halls Hill History Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join WalkArlington as we explore and learn about Halls Hill\, a historically African American neighborhood in Arlington known for its strong sense of community. \n\n\n\nThe walk will begin at the Segregation Wall at 17th and N. Culpepper Sts.\, where we will hear from Halls Hill resident Wilma Jones\, president of the John M. Langston Citizens Association and author of My Halls Hill Family: More Than a Neighborhood. \n\n\n\nAfter visiting the Segregation Wall\, we will head to the Langston-Brown Community Center\, 2121 N. Culpepper Street\, to visit the remaining six stops on the walk. These can be visited in whatever order you wish. Each stop will be hosted by a local subject matter expert\, who will share the story and significance of that stop and answer questions. Plan to spend approximately 15 minutes at each stop\, allowing five minutes to walk between them. \n\n\n\nLocation:4715 17th Street North Arlington\, VA 22207
